Australopithecus garhi. Human evolution project.

Supposedly the author of the first stone tools used to scavenge, from 2,6-2,5 milion years ago in Ethiopia. With its powerful chewing system and its ability to flake blades and employ simple tools, this species was adapted to life in the open savannah, and could live off big mammal skeletons, roots and tubers, seeds and grasses.
